Wendy Abramenko was born and raised in the small town of Almonte, Ontario, Canada. After completing high school she travelled to Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. When she returned, she resumed her studies undertaking a Bachelor of Science Degree at Brock University in St Catharines, Ontario. In her second year of the program she attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario to be closer to home and play ice hockey for the Carleton Ravens women’s ice hockey team. During this time she began considering a career in Denturism and was accepted into the denturist technology Program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in General Studies on Oct 18th, 2014 and had received her diploma in Denturist Technology on July 15th, 2016. Throughout her schooling she received the Dean’s honour roll, Barbara Hanson Scholarship, CCAA National Scholar Award, ACAC Academic Athletic Award and was involved in varsity sports for both Women’s Ice Hockey and Women’s Soccer.
In November of 2016 she moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta to begin working full-time as a Denturist at the Grande Prairie Denture Clinic (now Mybite!). In 2018 she started her own mobile denture business called GP Mobile Denture Services which she continues to operate to this day while working part-time with us at Mybite -Grande Prairie location.
What Wendy enjoys most about her profession as a Denturist is seeing her patients smile after providing them with an individually beautiful and artistically crafted denture
